On a personal note...

Hi, Shannon here! I am the face behind Periwinkle Events NW LLC and lead planner. I am based in beautiful Clackamas County, Oregon. I love, love, love all things wedding! I love hearing how each of you met and fell in love and all about your plans for your special day.
​I have been married for over 30 years! We choose to get married in September. It still amazes me how popular of a wedding month it still is, at least here in the Pacific Northwest. We have 3 grown daughters that we adore and are so proud of!
​When I'm not knee-deep in timelines, vendor correspondence, or designing a sweetheart table, I enjoy experiencing the northwest with family and friends. I love hiking with my husband, reading a good book by the fire, listening to live music, walking on the Oregon Coast, hanging out with my girls, and visiting as many wineries, brew pubs, and amazing restaurants as I can. I am a native Oregonian and love living here, however, I am always daydreaming of my next destination wedding or new place to explore.

Fun personal facts

I love to bake, I almost started a sugar cookie biz instead of wedding planning! I wonder how that would have turned out? We will never know, will we??? My sugar cookie recipe is a family secret and I will never give it up! Nope, sorry not getting it...

I was the general contractor for the construction of our home. Honestly, being the GC/project manager is not a lot different than coordinating a wedding. I mean the details, timing, logistics, and weather. Oh my!
​
I played volleyball as a teenager in school and was hooked on the sport from the minute I stepped on the court and passed that first ball. Being obsessed as I was, of course I had to coach! I had the privilege of coaching hundreds of girls over the course of several years. It always catches me off guard when I am out shopping or at a restaurant and hear someone yell "coach" only to turn around and see it's one of "my" girls! Last personal volleyball tidbit, I named my middle daughter Gabrielle after my idol Gabrielle Reece (American Volleyball Legend)
