Welcome to Periwinkle Events NW
Planning weddings one couple at a time in Portland, Oregon and beyond.
So you're engaged? Congratulations, I am so excited for you both!
I know your head is swimming right now with thoughts like, "Where do we start?" and "How do we find
the right vendors for us?" Trust me, I know there are many more questions swirling around in your head.
That is why I have created 2 unique packages to help us through the planning process together!
Yes, that's right, I will be right by your side the whole way!
It is important that you feel 100% comfortable and confident in my abilities.
And let's face it, you are entrusting me with the most important day of your life.
I am all about the love and connection with each of my couples.
While scrolling thru my site you will find "client love" (aka reviews) from my past couples.
If we don't have that type of connection from the start, then I am probably not the planner for you.
If that's the case, I will do everything I can to connect you with the perfect planner.

Most of my couples have chosen Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas in the Pacific Northwest,
SW Washington and the scenic Columbia River Gorge to get married.
I am totally on board for any destination you choose for your special day.

My husband and I had an absolutely incredible experience with Shannon at Periwinkle Events NW. Shannon was our wedding coordinator. Her help and insights did not just happen the day of, but she was so important in helping us in the months leading up to the event. She consistently thought of big things that would not have occurred to me, but that were extremely important. She saved the day in so many ways. Shannon has a naturally effervescent personality. Her sense of humor helps lighten any pre-wedding stress, and her confident knowledge of events and weddings in particular was a huge asset.
My husband and I have many siblings and close friends, so Shannon also gracefully managed our large wedding party. She and her assistant were excellent in managing a big (and sometimes hyper) group.
Our wedding day ran so smoothly and it was because of Shannon's hard work. We loved working with her and highly recommend her.

Shannon is incredible. She made our day go off without us having to worry about anything. When we first met Shannon, and before we even hired her, she took several hours getting to know us and what we wanted for our wedding day. She asked detailed questions and even outlined the logistics of our ceremony and reception. I must emphasize that she did all this during our free consultation meeting.
After talking with her, we felt confident that she definitely knew what she was doing. She helped us feel more at ease with the process than we had at any time prior. At the end of the (wedding) day, Shannon's services were worth every penny. She was receptive to what we wanted and made sure we had the best day possible. We highly recommend her!

About Me
So how did I end up a wedding planner? I think I have always been one, I mean I planned, designed and executed the most amazing tea parties for all my stuffed animals at the age of 5! Doesn't that count? Okay, I guess it really started when I was 19. I planned, set up and managed my parents 25th wedding anniversary from start to finish. Budget, guest list, food, design, logistics, timelines etc. After that, I was totally hooked. Every party, shower, anniversary and weddings I have done over the past 30 years has brought me so much experience and knowledge. Each of my couples (aka you) benefit from my experience the moment you entrust me with the most important day in your life. I have been on all sides of weddings. From being the Mother of the Bride who DIY'd everything (Mom's I don't recommend this, just saying), planner/aunt for my nieces and nephews weddings, a wedding guest, day of coordinator to a full on planner for my amazing couples. I totally understand what it looks and feels like to be in all of these roles. Ultimately, I am a hostess at all times and I want everyone to relax and enjoy their whole experience from start to finish. With this in mind, I spend hours working out every last detail, timeline and logistical issue to make sure it is your vision, your style on your day!
